Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® Bronx Chapter Makes the Season Brighter for Local Families in Need on Christmas Day

December 25, 2023

Bronx, NY (December 2023) The Bronx Chapter of the Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® (HGAR) teamed up with the Castle Hill YMCA to distribute presents on Christmas Day to 85 children from 32 local families in need. Both HGAR and the YMCA have been holding toy drives throughout the month of December to collect children’s gifts.

“Operation REALTORS®’ Kids” is a joint effort by both organizations and has been going on for more than a decade. HGAR members and the YMCA filled their cars with toys to bring holiday cheer to families across the borough, with each child receiving three presents this year. “It’s our responsibility to help that population,” said Eliezer Rodriguez, director of HGAR’s Bronx Chapter. “Once you do this, you fall in love with the idea of putting a sparkle in a kid’s eye.”

In addition, the organizations delivered to a home that was recommended by Senator Luis Sepulveda and also donated toys to Assemblyman John Zaccaro, Jr. and Assembly Member Latoya Joyner for their toy drives.

The Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® (HGAR) is a not-for-profit trade association covering more than 13,000 real estate professionals doing business in the Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, and Orange counties.  It is the second largest REALTOR® Association in New York, and one of the largest in the country.
